that’s right YOU are probably ripping yourself off if you’re not able to confidently, enthusiastically promote yourself with energy and power. Whether you’re an employee or self employed or anything in between you HAVE to be able to sell yourself.

You have a unique skill set, perspective, ability that it’s you DUTY to share with the world – for an EXCHANGE. Unless you can tell me, or anyone else, for that matter, just what your uniqueness and value are AND how they can benefit ME you really are ripping yourself and the rest of us off.

So here’s your challenge for the day – write down as quickly as you can your top ten list of skills, then get it down to a BEST and MOST liked 3.

Go do it – NOW!

This little audio comes from a 5 day course I ran for the BTWT company for long term unemployed people.  It just goes to show what can happen when people come together to achieve a goal with some structure and leadership – some incredible things can happen.  So don’t be out there by yourself find some friends, others in your situation who you can work with to make  your individual job search goals a reality. 

In the fabulous “What Color is your Parachute” the author says that when people come together and use a common directory to source and then cold call potential employers they have an 86% chance of success – a lot higher than just doing it on your own.
